two silver rings for AbaNDa SHAKE from a MySpace friend...

This is a very special blog entry!!!

Have a look at the picture below - can you see the two silver rings on my fingers? It is incredible, but believe me - they were sent to me by our fantastic friend Daumants Kalnins from Latvia. Daumant's an experienced artist (smith - jeweler) and he's been spending much time in his life on restoring ancient Latvian jewelry in the town of Cesis. Now he's making amazing ancient-like rings, bracelets, broches, etc. of silver and bronze. He also holds excursions in the museum for adults and children. You should visit Daumant's PAGE and see everything with your own eyes!! He's got lots of interesting photos and slideshows there!

Well, and our story is rather exciting. Daumants told me once in his comment he would like to make a special silver ring for me as a "thank you" for our music! :) And he really did, but first he had asked me which model of a ring on his SITE I liked best. After getting the information on my finger size from me, he made the ring and sent the package by avia post. I was checking my post office box regularly, but the parcel wouldn't arrive. A month passed, but still my box was empty, and the postmen couldn't tell anything. I felt very sorry, and Daumants was very sad too... He even proposed me to write a song about a postman who stole the ring, gave it to his girl but then she left him... We thought the parcel had been lost. Then Daumants took the last effort to try and seek the parcel with the help of the postage receipt in his country and... in a while (after two month waiting!) the parcel was finally delivered to me! :) But how much surprised I was when I opened the small red box and saw TWO rings in place of one!! :))

Well, here they are - I'm wearing them in this picture and I feel I'm a Latvian princess!! :)) Aren't I really looking like a natural princess from the long ago times here?! What you say?? :))

Dear Daumants! Allow me to thank you again for your sweet care! That was an amazing experience in my life. Me and Dimitris are both very grateful to you for your kindest support. It's rather rare nowadays to meet a person so generous and good-hearted like YOU!!! :))) We want you to know that you're now occupying a very special place in our hearts and it's such a pleasure to have you as our friend! We hope very much to see you one day in the real life!

Much Love and Respect to You, dear Daumants,
from Natali and Dimitris,
AbaNDa SHAKE!
